Ladles of Love is a premier South African non-profit organisation founded by Danny Diliberto in 2014. What began as a single soup kitchen in Cape Town has evolved into one of the country’s most extensive food relief networks, consistently providing millions of meals to vulnerable communities across the Western Cape, Northern Cape, and Gauteng.
The organisation’s mission is to help people thrive physically, emotionally, spiritually, and sustainably through love, dignity, and respect. Their programmes go beyond immediate food relief—supporting urban farmers, empowering food entrepreneurs, and helping communities become self-sustainable.
Our Impact
With a track record of excellence, Ladles of Love has facilitated the distribution of tens of millions of meals since its inception. The organisation supports an extensive network of over 200 beneficiary organisations, schools, and shelters with fresh produce and non-perishables. Their innovative initiatives like Feed the Soil and Realise A Dream promote long-term sustainability by turning food waste into compost and supporting small-scale farmers.
How You Can Help
Ladles of Love relies on a dedicated community of volunteers and donors to continue their mission. Whether it’s through fundraising, volunteering, or donating groceries, every act of kindness helps uplift more communities and combat food insecurity across South Africa.
