Ladles of Love is a South African non-profit organisation founded by Danny Diliberto in 2014. What began as a single soup kitchen in Cape Town has grown into one of the country’s largest and most impactful food relief networks, serving nearly a million meals every month to vulnerable communities across the Western Cape, Northern Cape, and Gauteng.
The organisation’s mission is to help people thrive physically, emotionally, spiritually, and sustainably through love, dignity, and respect. Their programmes go beyond food relief — supporting urban farmers, empowering food entrepreneurs, and helping communities become self-sustainable.
Our Impact
Since inception, Ladles of Love has served food equivalent to more than 44 million meals. The organisation supports over 200 beneficiary organisations, schools, and shelters with fresh produce and non-perishables. Their innovative initiatives like Feed the Soil and Realise A Dream promote sustainability by turning food waste into compost and supporting small-scale farmers and food entrepreneurs.
How You Can Help
Ladles of Love relies on volunteers and donations to continue their mission. Whether it’s through fundraising, volunteering, or donating groceries, every act of kindness helps feed more people and uplift more communities.
